The Fleet Headache Racks by Kargo Master are very useful for protecting your cab's rear window as well as the back of the truck cab as well as carry occasional long items like lumber pipe or conduit. And, as the name suggests, the fleet headache racks work to keep away the sun and prevent avoidable “headaches”. There are two options available for these headache racks: screen style racks and louvered style racks.
The wire screen of Kargo Master's Fleet headache racks are made from heavy duty wires that have a diameter of 3/16 inches. The racks have an undercoat of zinc epoxy and the hardware is plated with yellow zinc. The racks employ nuts that are self-locking. Using yellow zinc dichromate for the fasteners, make them five times more resistant to corrosion when compared with fasteners that are coated with white zinc. For furthering longevity, the fleet headache racks are finished with marine grade powder coat. The racks come with dog ears to keep your load from sliding. The racks also have a salt spray resistance of 1000 hours.
- The headache rack's lower cross bar includes slotted holes; these enable them to hold items of large size, like construction equipment, in a secure way against the bulkhead of the bed.
- They are easy to install and remove because of their clamp-on and no-drill mount feature.
- The louvered racks have 5 louvers for protection; the screened racks offer much better protection than the louvered ones.
- The racks are available in two colors – black and white.
- If needed, tool box shims can be provided. The racks can be fitted on to full sized trucks of GM, Ford, and RAM. They will not, however, fit trucks that are mid sized, mini sized, or those trucks that have flare or step side.
